The 2008 Taste of Birmingham event is scheduled for Cannon Hill Park on July 11-13. The Midlands’ finest restaurants will take part, including Michelin-starred Simpsons, award-winning Opus and top Indian establishments Lasan and Itihaas, plus Aria, Filini, Hotel du Vin, Malmaison, Thai Edge, The Oriental, plus Ludlow’s La Becasse. Chefs appearing at the event include Antony Worrall-Thompson and Andreas Antona. Visitors have the chance to taste and sample French wine, Italian coffee and English produce! The Birmingham International Jazz Festival is providing an international mix of music for the afternoons of July 11-13, with the Swedish Jazz Kings, Australia’s Misinterprotato and Hammond organ trio, Pedalmania.
